F1 Staycation

Mummy's office hosted a hospitality suite at the swissotel for the F1 weekend and so mummy had a room at the fairmont for the weekend. The girls were excited. They were looking forward to the pool. Especially when they have a new toy - sponge bob which shoots water. They were happily playing with it in the bath tub too. With the bath tub filled with water, they were 'swimming' comfortably in it too.

Random note. These days when Kayley doesn't want to walk and wants to be carried, she will say I'm dizzy.

While daddy was away

Daddy is in korea for work for a month. Despite that, mummy has been bringing the girls out. Well, mummy has always been independently bringing the girls out.

Mummy brought the girls to mid autumn party at farrer. I'm glad the RC continued the tradition since mummy's days. This time mummy attended with her childhood friends and their children. While mummy was having mooncakes with her friends, the girls were playing candles with the older kids. The girls also took lanterns and walked round the neighbourhood. Just like how mummy used to do so. Well chloe refused to take the lantern for some reason. But Kayley was very enthusiastic. 

Cabby gugu painted nails for the girls for school holidays. Oh my. They loved it. Vain little girls. Mummy wasn't as vain. The other day it was class photo taking. The night before chloe already asked for blusher and lipstick. But she was very cute in the morning, she woke up, with eyes half closed, and said mummy it's class photo taking I want blusher and lipstick. It amused me.

Siti had a headache. Chloe drew a drawing of siti. Note the red patch on the head, that's the headache.

Mummy has videos. Every night Kayley will say she wants to listen to the minions happy song. The girls will be in mummy's bedroom watching the mtv and jumping on the bed. They also did the gwiyomi.

Auntie chinting has been over playing with the girls. I think the best part for the girls is playground time. Only auntie chinting plays chasing with them which they love so much. I try to video but it's too dark. I forget photos.

Kidz amaze with godmama and her sisters and niece and nephews. They played the slides many times and watched the balls pour over their heads many times. Kayley cries because Chloe runs so fast without waiting for her. They had a good time I'm sure.

P.s. maybe mummy stopped writing because she's not very good at writing. Not like the blogs she reads. But. Sigh. Better than nothing and no records right. More pictures then.

These days the girls love peppa pig. So they follow peppa and say yuck disgusting. Days of the wiggles are over.

Sweet voice note from chloe

I haven't blogged in 2 months. Now I'm writing on a train in Germany.

Mummy was in Netherlands for work for a week and continued a week holiday in Germany. Daddy followed. Both of you are obedient girls in the good hands of siti. Mummy tried to have voice and video calls with you over wifi but they weren't clear. So we exchanged voice recordings.

Chloe was so sweet, "Mummy I love you. I missed you today. Because I always love you. So I always miss you that's why."

Farm day

To my little girls. Mom is lazy. She doesn't  do enough recording of your day to day. But she does try to make your holiday interesting. She bought the roku so that you can YouTube on TV. So you've been watching mickey mouse clubhouse, wiggles and most recently Peppa pig. She bought more kumon cut paste fold books which you enjoyed. We baked cut out cookies last week. Go out for yummy brunches. This weekend off to the farms. Not as interesting as she thought. We popped by the fish farm the goat farm and then frog farm. Too bad net fishing at pasir ris closed down. Both of you enjoyed feeding even if it meant feeding to the frogs who were not hungry. Too bad no goat feeding. Nor fish feeding.

Amen

Today a very special friend chinting invited me to church. She reminded me to note down how chloe amuses me. I was sharing with chloe that I will be going church tonight. I don't remember her exact reply but I sensed that she wanted to join me so I said tonight was for adults only (I wasn't sure what was in it for me). So during our conversation chloe coughed so I said let's pray for recovery. Close your eyes and clasp your hands. Chloe did as told. She repeated after me a simple prayer, dear god please heal my cough amen. Chloe then asked what's amen mommy? I wasn't sure and the train arrived at that time so I didn't answer her. Chinting then shared that amen means so be it. For me it means I agree. Which I will share with chloe later. I was just pleasantly surprised that chloe would be curious and ask me the meaning of the word. I mean I say a number of words everyday that I think she won't understand and she doesn't bother to understand but she was curious about amen. Also every Saturday when we take the bus to Chinese enrichment when we pass the church she will say mommy see that's the welcome church. I think there's a banner that says welcome. But why did her attention turn to the word welcome? Maybe the church is calling out to her. At easter chloe and I went to trinity church with my sister mona. There was a musical and the theatre was dark. From the start chloe was hugging on to my hand. I felt that the hug was tighter and then chloe turns to me tearing. What's wrong baby? There's a monster. I want to go out mommy. Turns out that there was a banner with a face of Satan and chloe thinks that was a monster. Well she's not wrong. We went out and to soothe her I gave her biscuits. We went back in again after the musical. The pastor was asking for people who was at the church for the first time to raise their right hand. Chloe turned to me and asked mommy which is right? I pointed the answer. She quickly chompes the biscuit she was holding with her right hand and raised her right hand. Wow. She's listening to the pastor. Another pleasant surprise. I think chloe has an affinity with God. Okay I will bring her to church. I know chinting will read this post. I know my grammar, sentence structure, punctuation sucks but this is me and this is not stopping me from writing more. Hahaha. Thank you for taking time to accompany me to church chinting. Much appreciated. And reminding me these little actions and replies of chloe that I should blog it so that she can read it next time when she grows up. I am posting a unrelated photo but a very sweet photo I want to share. The girls were kissing each other at gardens by the bay. I hope they will love each other forever.

P.S. mystery solved! We passed by the church today and I asked chloe where is the welcome? She pointed to statue of Jesus with his hands nailed to the cross. To her that meant welcome! 

Lip gloss

Chloe loves my lip gloss and lip balm. Each time I come back from work she will dig my bag for them. She will apply both on her lips, purse her lips, and look at herself in the mirror and smile. I need to capture those moments some time. She has also influenced meimei to follow her.
