Snow!

It's a yearly affair since chloe was 2yo. We will visit tanglin mall to see 'snow' and have dinner at nandos. This time chloe is 4yo and kayley is 2yo. I dressed up 2 yo k with the same purple bubble dress c wore when she was 2yo. When c was 2yo and 3yo she didn't really know what was going on. Now that she's 4yo she's enjoying it. But though we've been there for 2 years we were ill prepared. Because chloe was playing in the snow bubble avalanche she was wet and dirty and we didn't have towel. Most prepared parents dressed their child in swimming costume or topless. I suppose I was also surprised that chloe enjoyed the play this time. K was crying most of the time. Same as c at 2yo. She was overwhelmed by 'snow'. It was strong and had chemical smell. Aloysius was with us and it's his first time and he looked like he really enjoyed it. This will be a tradition. This year we may go twice. The next time we will go prepared. 

Bear bear

Godmama bought this me to you bear for chloe when she visited her at hospital. Chloe was admitted for fever and was on drip. The bear says get well soon. I dont know when chloe started to love the bear. She hugs it to sleep. Dragged it around. When we went out yesterday, for the first time, she wanted to bring the bear along and I allowed. I asked her to name the bear. I suggested bear bear chia, bear chia, godmama chia but she says she's bear bear. I always call the girls chloe chia and kayley chia. Given name and surname. Pizza again

Further to the previous post, this is the 3rd pizza party. I missed the second because I was in hanoi. I said more photos but I enjoy the pizza making too so my hands were dirty with flour and I took only 3 photos. More information. The girls started cooking with cupcakes. Because one day gugu decided to bake at our house. We baked on our own for at least 3 times as well. Then next we moved on to pancakes. Because chloe read and loved a book by eric carle (mommy bought the book) titled pancakes pancakes. It was a boy who wanted to eat pancakes and his mom asked him to help with the preparations. So we started making pancakes for breakfast. So so far cooking has been cupcakes pancakes pizzas. Meimei has started to join us too. There are other videos and photos on cupcakes day. Girls if you are keen you will have to look through the saved history of the many many vids and pics.

Jiang jiang jiang

Chloe is turning 4 yo in 2 weeks time. Since birth she has been breastfeeding. She latched on to sleep every night. In December 2010 when she was 1 yo I went to watch local musical cinderelah and in the musical the audience was told to chant jiang jiang jiang when one of the characters appeared (maybe evil stepmother,  I forgot). At that time when I flash my boobs at chloe she will laugh heartily. So the night after the musical before I flash my boobs I will say jiang jiang jiang. She enjoyed that. She was addicted to the breasts and was always asking for it. I've heard other babies whining for ney ney milk milk and I didn't want her to chant the same. So from then on we had a private code we call the breasts jiang jiang. Chloe will always ask for jiang jiang when she sleeps (like a pacifier addiction) or when she's upset and requires comfort. And this was from birth to up to last week! I was away for a week in hanoi for holiday and she slept with kaka and meimei. During the week in hanoi I started taking doctor prescribed pills for stopping of milk flow. If not I would have stone hard breasts. So when I'm back, at least for the last 3 days, chloe asked for jiang jiang, but I told her you are 4 yo no more jiang jiang. Reluctantly she understands, my baby has grown up, so she will tell me no jiang jiang I want milk milk. She was funny, she made me pretend to be chloe and she pretend to be mommy, and we pretend to sleep, and she will ask me to ask for jiang jiang, and her reply was go sleep with kaka no jiang jiang. Hee. Actually I miss her latching on to me. I enjoy the moments very very much too. But I think it's time to let go. I'm confident she will kick the habit. I wished I blogged earlier. I will then remember more of these memories and she will read more in future. Well better late than never. I love you very very much chloe.

To kayley. Sorry baby. Because jiejie was very sticky to mommy since birth, mommy tried to sleep with both girls, but when you were 9 months old, mommy gave up, and you started sleeping with kaka. You were still latching but by 17 months old, when you were hospitalised for fever, you just stopped latching volunteerily. Now at 22 months old, when mommy asked if you want to sleep with mommy, you will say no, I sleep with kaka. But you still love mommy. If there's kaka and mommy when we go out you will wany mommy to carry. Thank you for your love. Mommy loves you very very much too. You are so cute. I don't know how to describe your cuteness but you really are. When I carry you you hug like a koala. Your fat cheeks and arms send a very very warm loving feeling.

Ok same for Chloe. Girls don't compare huh. Mommy loves both super duper very muchie. ♥♥

Day 2 - hcm complex. Temple of literature. Koto lunch. Hoa lo prison. Qt anam massage.  Gourmet corner dinner. Water puppet.

Day 3 - super typhoon haiyan! rising dragon palace hotel. Bbq chicken dinner.

Day 4 - hang da market. Orchid spa massage. Street food tour. Complimentary upgrade to essence suite.

Day 5 - paradise cruise halong bay. Complimentary upgrade to suite. Surprise cave. Ti top island. spring rolls cooking class.

Day 6 - halong bay. Luon cave. Kfc dinner. Usd 20 upgrade to essence suite.

Day 7 - ethnology museum and hue restaurant lunch with hanoi kids. Goodbye hanoi.

While we are away

Daddy and mommy went off to hanoi for a holiday. While we are away, cabby gugu, gong gong popo, and godmama came to visit.

Godmama: Chloe said so nice to see you Godmama. My heart melted. Kayley warmed up towards the end. Chloe was talkative n quite a tyrant ordering me to laugh when she tickles me. Funny!

Cabby gugu: Kayley keep telling me that mummy n daddy go work ... Hahaha. But Chloe is big gal already, she said mummy n daddy go holiday.

Wiggles

The girls love the wiggles. We borrow the dvds from the library. Here they are, sucking banana pouches with their eyes glued to the tv.

Playdoh

Chloe's fave - playdoh. I don't like playdoh, I don't like cleaning up the floor after playdoh. She enjoys playdoh even more when we bought her a set of playdoh ice cream maker. She rolled balls and added them to a sundae cup. I really didn't want to buy playdoh for her. But I saw her watching the playdoh videos again and again on youtube, I thought, poor girl, I should let her play instead of letting her watch others play.

Kimage

Chloe had her 1st haircut when she was 3 months old. We shaved her head at an expensive salon $20+ for children with dvd player and lollipop and stickers and color hair spray etc. Her hair grows fast and she didn't like haircut, she was always screaming kicking fussing, it was chaos and we had to grab hold of the struggling girl. When she turned 3yo we took her to our regular kimage hairstylist and she started to enjoy the haircut and now look forward. Fringecut is $7.50 and haircut is $24. For kayley, we didn't shave her, because chloe had bad hair day for months after the shave, there are old photos to prove that, but because we didn't shave, k's hair grew very slowly and not as thick. Her 1st haircut was 1 yo and we went to kimage with chloe. There was one time she was sleepy so she didn't move. Another two times she cried and didn't really complete the cut. The last time there was no crying. But this time chloe cut first, and when we said it's meimei's turn, she struggled out of my caryying arms, and excitedly waited for jiejie to get down and she climbed up ans sat independently for the 1st time. It was a breeze to trim her fringe because she didn't move. Aw. My sweetheart is all grown up. She's only 22 months old. Chloe enjoys her cut and make funny faces at the mirror. After the girls had their cut, mommy trimmed her bangs, it was daddy's turn. The girls watched him wash his hair, and chloe says next time she wants a hair wash too.

Halloween

30 October. The girls have to dress up for Halloween party in school. A colleague bought fairies getup for the girls last year for chloe's birthday, a year later, they have a chance to wear them. They don't look happy because they suck at posing for the camera. But they LOVED their fairies wings wand and headband. They dressed up twice at home and ran around the living room, showed off to gong gong ah ma, went around turning humans to animals with their wands.

Happy birthday siti

Chloe says zombie birthday cake for kaka because kaka likes zombie. They've been enjoying pretending to be zombies, biting each other, and hiding under blankets. She also says books as presents for kaka,  specifically in the night garden, well because she wants kaka to read with her.

Pizza party

1st pizza party today. I made the dough from flour 2 days ago. Today aloysius was here and we rolled the dough flat, added mushrooms, ham, chicken chipolata, and mozzarella cheese. Baked in airfryer for 5 minutes, the result? Even fil says it smells good, and both fil and mil too, of course the girls enjoyed the pizza making and ate up yummy pizza, especially chloe. More pizzas ahead and more photos next time.

So.. I just learnt that the theme of this term is wonders of the world. After making mount everest, it's eiffel tower. Chloe learnt to say bonjour too!
